I am so very proud of you Cathy. The number of people that can even consider doing what you are about to do is few and far between. But to consider you are about to do it FOR THE THIRD TIME is amazing. People are awe struck by the mere distance and physical stamina it takes for you to complete your adventure...but often they forget everything you had to do to get your body to the point to even begin the race. You are such a strong and powerful person. Your drive, determination and dedication to this sport is more than inspiring...it is surreal. There is no doubt you will be in my thoughts...b/c it is hard to forget a person that makes you want to strive for great things. I am proud of you girl!

I just saw the video.. AMAZING...just amazing. Cathy, (aka ROCKSTAR) you will be in my thoughts and prayers as well as in my sense of wonder and awe. I wish you the very best at this incredible event.
Training has been going good, still easing into it, but getting there...so I really appreciate this jolt of inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Will be cheering for you number 2314!

Cathy,
I can't believe that you are able to do this! You must be so proud of yourself. I wish you the best in this "crazy adventure" of yours. I know you will do well, and achieve all your goals. You will be in my thoughts and prayers next Sunday. And since I know very little about physical exertion myself, the only advice I can offer is to stay well hydrated! You probably already know that, though.

I have my pom pom ready that mommy made me for Halloween. I will be shaking the pom pom and saying, "yea!" to cheer you on. I even will walk a tiring 10 steps in honor of your amazing accomplishment. Go Cathy Go!

I looked at all the other locations for IM races and you picked the best one. Florida and Hawaii are way too hot... Switzerland is too hilly. Maybe England in 2009, but for now I hope the beauty and warmth of Arizona carry you smoothly through the miles. Enjoy the race. You'll do great. And really enjoy the time afterward to relax and enjoy Sedona & the Canyon.

Cathy you are an inspiration to so many at work and outside of work. I can't even imagine what you have to endure to get through an Ironman. I wish you the best of luck and I will enjoy a cocktail in your honor on Nov 23rd! :) I can't wait to hear all about it when you return. Best of Luck!

You are an amazing strong woman. You are an insperation to so many people. Remember that you are doing something that not even 1% of the population has even accomplished once and you are doing it for the 3rd time! I know you will finish strong and most importantly you will be having fun while doing it.

Wow does time fly. It does not seem like it has been that long since we were down in Florida suffering together. I now believe that the day you are about to have out there is payback for all of your hours out there working to achieve your goals. I really hope you have a great day out there. You deserve it. Enjoy every minute of it!!! We'll be screaming at our computers telling you to run!

Good luck, Cuz! I still can't believe that it is humanly possible to do what you will be doing. I feel pretty proud of myself when I run 2 miles and boy am I exhausted when I get [a quarter of the way] through! :O)

Not only that you achieve great things, but that you get so much joy out of the effort. All my thoughts will be with you on the 23rd. You are an inspiration!
